Our Commitment
Scriptclips is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the following accessibility standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
- ADA Compliance — Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for digital services.
- EAA (European Accessibility Act) — European Union accessibility requirements effective June 2025.
Measures We Take
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. We support standard tab navigation, focus indicators, and keyboard shortcuts.
- Screen Reader Support: We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and structured headings to ensure compatibility with assistive technologies.
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) as defined by WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
- Motion Sensitivity: We respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query and reduce or disable animations for users who have enabled this preference. - Responsive Design: The platform is designed to work across various screen sizes, from mobile devices to large desktop displays.
- Form Accessibility: All form inputs have associated labels, error messages are clearly communicated, and focus is managed during form interactions.
- Alt Text: Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform present challenges due to the nature of AI-generated visual and audio content:
- AI-Generated Images: Dynamically generated images may not always have descriptive alt text. We are working on automatic captioning.
- Video Content: AI-generated video clips do not currently include captions or audio descriptions. We plan to add captioning support.
- Three.js Canvas Elements: Some decorative 3D animations on the landing page may not be fully accessible to screen readers. These elements are decorative and do not contain essential content.
